Each column shows the distribution of a given nation's sea trade. Each row of the column shows the fraction of that nation's trade with the nation of that row. For example, Austria's trade with France is 15.6% of Austria's total sea trade and France's trade with Austria is 4.2% of France's sea trade, because France has more total sea trade than Austria does. Each column adds up to 100%, but the rows do not.
