In ROTD, units without supply lines, except those in besieged
fortifications, will lose deserters. A unit which is able to
requisition supplies loses 1% to 4% of its strength as deserters. A
unit which is not able to requisition supplies loses 3% to 9% of its
strength. The number of losses is then modified as follows:

For other morale levels, interpolate linearly. For example,
morale of 60 is 1/5 of the way from 50 to100, so the bonus
is 1/5 of -75%, which is -15%.
Units that are out of supply for more one turn suffer falling
morale, so the longer a unit is out of supply, the more deserters it
will lose each turn.
At the start of the supply phase, stragglers (this includes both
deserters and soldiers separated from the unit by combat) may return
to each unit that has stragglers. A unit that does not move
strategically will regain 15% to 30% of its stragglers; a unit that
does will regain 5% to 15%. However, a unit that has been out of
supply for more than 2 turns will not regain any stragglers, which
will cause the unit's strength to diminish much more rapidly.
